Kona burglary, theft reports (June 29-July 5)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers June 29-July 5.

BURGLARIES

On June 30, a reported burglary at Kona Plastic Surgery. Unknown responsibles attempted to gain entry into the building but was scared off by the buildings security alarm.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

On June 30, a reported UCPV at the Royal Kailuan, a Blue Vino moped was taken.

UEMV (THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

No thefts from vehicles reported.

THEFT

On June 29, a reported theft at the Sheraton Keauhou, a Black Apple iPhone 4S and a Pink Apple iPod shuffle taken from the outdoor pool area.

On June 29, a reported theft in the 100 Block of Royal Poinciana, a wallet containing U.S. currency & miscellaneous cards taken from an outside picnic table of a residence.

On June 29, a reported theft in the Holualoa area, while hunting, a male party left his Black Savage .243 bolt action 22 rifle in an unknown area while attempting to catch a boar. When he returned about an hour later the rifle could not be located. Serial number for the rifle is G838881

On June 22, a reported theft, this after a female caught a ride with an unknown male party and was later pushed out of the vehicle at Lako Chevron. Once out of the vehicle the female realized her black bifold wallet containing U.S. currency and other items was missing.
