State Capitol completes database maintenance

MEDIA RELEASE

Previously we had sent out a notice that we would be performing our annual database maintenance, during which time some services on the web would be affected.

We have completed the maintenance and everything should be back up and running OK.

Please note that we have made a few additional changes to the website. A few items have been rearranged to make the website quicker to navigate and to be more efficient and consistent.

Also, a new feature has been added to let you unsubscribe from our hearing notice e-mail lists. Previously, even if you unchecked all committees and removed all bills, you would still get e-mails that we sent to all confirmed e-mail addresses. Now you can unsubscribe completely.

Once you’ve logged in, you can click on the link to “Edit Account Information or Unsubscribe” just above the central buttons on the main page, or you can click on the “Edit Account” link in the upper, right corner of the screen. On this window you can click on the “Unsubscribe” button.

It doesn’t remove you from the system, nor does it remove any of the lists you signed up for; all it does is set the confirmed bit for your account to zero, which is the first thing we check before we send an e-mail from our system. Note that if you want to re-confirm your account, all you have to do is to try and log in again.

The system will tell you that you have been unsubscribed and if you want to resubscribe to click on a link to send a confirmation e-mail. The confirmation e-mail will have a link to click on that will reconfirm you.
