Hawaii Police Department advises you to AVOID Mamalahoa Hwy. (Rte. 19) between the 56 & 57 milemarkers due to a current traffic issue.

A vehicle crash near HPM Building Supplies has closed Mamalahoa Hwy. and will require a detour of traffic for the next three hours (about 9:15 a.m.) HFD Hazmat crew is on scene to clean up a fuel spill prompting this closure.

Currently traffic is using an alternate route turning left onto Mana Road to Kahilu Road then right onto Kamamalu Street that will lead you back to Mamalahoa Hwy. (Rte. 19).
