ReefTeach volunteers needed for Earth Day (April 23)

Sara Peck is looking for a few more volunteers for the 11th Annual Earth & Ocean Festival. The event is Saturday, April 23 at Keauhou Beach Resort.

* Set Up 7:30-8:30 a.m. – General stuff. We will not need to decorate but we will need to set up, set out mats for people to sit on in front of the stage, set signs with the day’s schedule, etc round, Still need 1or 2 people.

* Food Booth Script Table & Beverages: First folks help set this up and last folks help take it down plus everyone sits at the script for food and beverages. 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

* Activity/Information Booths – Still need at least one adult per time slot.

* ReefWatcher Table – Need people who are or have been ReefWatchers.

* HUMU and Coral Person – Need one person inside the HUMU costume and two people to lead HUMU around. Coral Person can be on own. Some WHEA & HPA students; possibly other schools will help with this.

* Thumb Print Booth – Help youngsters place their thumb print on a large octopus drawn by artist Sandy Doherty, to seal the promise to help our oceans.

* Take Down, 3:30-4 p.m. – Need 2 or more people to help with clean up and helping exhibitors load up.
