According to GOLF Magazine’s Premier Resort List, a bi-annual GOLF Magazine readers’ poll, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts epitomizes the Gold and Silver standard, with eight of its world-class properties making the cut in North America for 2010.
Included in the 2010 GOLF Magazine Premier Resort list are 10 Platinum properties, 25 Gold properties and 65 Silver properties.
The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii earned a Gold Medal and made its debut in GOLF Magazine’s Premier Resort List for 2010. The AAA Four Diamond luxury resort was recognized for being a golfer’s paradise, with exquisite accommodations boarding the 36-hole Francis H. II Brown championship golf course.
Also representing Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the Gold category for 2010 were Alberta’s Fairmont Banff Springs and The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, which moved up from Silver in 2008.
Five additional properties made the Silver List for 2010, including British Columbia’s Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Mexico’s Fairmont Mayakoba (home of the PGA Tour’s Mayakoba Golf Classic), Arizona’s Fairmont Scottsdale (home of the PGA Tour’s Waste Management Phoenix Open), California’s Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Florida’s Fairmont Turnberry Isle.
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts received more medals (eight), than any other hotel company in the same category.
