Video of the Coast Guard evacuating a crewmember from a U.S. Navy submarine off the coast of Washington, Tuesday (Sept 29). The Navy contacted the Coast Guard at 5:50 p.m. to request assistance in transferring a crewmember to a hospital from a submarine. The rescue helicopter arrived on scene at 7:12 p.m. and hoisted the crewmember by basket from the sail of the submarine.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo men’s golf team is in 14th place after the first round of the St. Martin’s University Invitational in Olympia, Wash.

Neil Cabico is in a tie for 18th place to lead the Vulcan squad. He recorded a 2-over-par 74.
Tied for 59th place is Ryan Felix (79) followed by Logan Goulding and Isaac Jaffurs a stroke back at 80 and tied for 66th place.
