Very strong 7.5M quake in Papua New Guinea, no tsunami threat to Hawaii

Based on all available data a destructive pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii. Papua new Guinea is forecast to possibly have waves one to three meters in height. Tsunami waves of less than 0.3 meters (about a foot) are possible in Hawaii.
