A South Korean man is in police custody following a stabbing at a resort along the South Kohala coast. At 8:12 a.m. Wednesday (January 27), officers from the South Kohala District responded to a report of a domestic dispute and possible stabbing in a hotel room on the 62-100 block of Kaunaoa Drive.

Hawaiʻi Island police have charged the Pāhoa man who was arrested last week following a stabbing in Pohoiki. At 6 p.m. Friday (October 9), 61-year-old Boris Ivanovich Vereshak (previously identified as Boris Yarmolyk) was charged with first-degree assault, third-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.
