One-way traffic next to St. Joseph Church Sunday and Monday (Dec 24 & 25)

In observance of the 2017 Christmas season activities at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo, there will be a temporary one-way traffic pattern on Kapiʻolani Street. Traffic will be allowed only in the Puna, or southerly, direction on Kapiʻolani Street, between Waiānuenue Avenue and Haili Street during certain hours.

In BIIF girls volleyball it was a David versus Goliath match. Unlike the fairytale, the St. Joseph's Lady Cardinals (David) were unable to defeat the stronger Waiakea Warriors (Goliath). The D-I Warriors made quick work by defeating the D-II Lady Cardinals in straight sets.

Both Christian Liberty Academy and St. Joseph's are in a rebuilding year, having each lost the majority of their starters. Both teams desparately needed their first win for the season, and that desparation translated into a very exciting game for the fans tonight.
