A 69-year-old woman died Monday (June 21) from an apparent drowning in waters along the South Kohala Coast. The victim, who was vacationing with family on the Big Island, has been identified as a Gloria Graf of Glendale, California.

The 32nd Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk drew more than 9,000 participants across the state Saturday (May 15), raising $901,029 for more than 200 local charities. The Big Island walk was held at Mauna Lani Bay Drive and raised over $150,000.

An autopsy conducted Monday (March 8) on Kimo K. Elderts, 28, who was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway, .3 miles south of the 71 mile-marker on Saturday (March 6) concluded that he died of natural causes and not from injuries sustained in the crash.
