The University of Hawaii at Hilo dropped their regular season finale 7-2 to Sonoma State University on the Holua Tennis Courts in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Christie Pagatpatan and Anna Hamlin picked up singles victories for the Vulcans. Pagatpatan won 6-3, 6-0 in first singles while Hamlin won 6-4, 6-3 in third singles.

UH-Hilo drops their match against Sonoma State University

Appearing in the Mizuno/Tournament of Champions Gold bracket, the University of Hawaii at Hilo’s offense stalled as they were dropped 10-2 by Sonoma State University in the single-elimination round of the softball tournament.

The Vulcans are 27-12 while the Cossacks are 25-8.

Neil Cabico finished the two-round tournament at even-par 144 after recording a 3-under-par 69 in the opening round on the 6,711-yard, par-72 course. Nicole Aoki recorded rounds of 79 and 76 to finish at 11-over-par 155 on the 5,742-yard, par-72 course.
