Hawaiʻi Island police arrested three family members (July 14), in connection with a murder investigation. Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Section arrested 49-year-old Kevin Lehano, 33-year-old Tiffany Stone and 59-year-old Henrietta H. Stone at approximately 3 p.m. for second degree murder under the strength of a bench warrant following a grand jury indictment.

Police charge two Kona suspects with murder

On June (28), Hawai`i Police charged two suspects for the murder of Dolores Borja Valle, who was killed in (August 2015). Eber Miranda-Garcia, and Marlon Miranda-Garcia, both of Hōlualoa, were charged with Murder in the second degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the second degree, bail was set at $500,000 for each of them.

Mountain View woman extradited from Nevada to face murder charge in Hawaii

A 54-year-old Mountain View woman who was in custody in Nevada was extradited to Hawaiʻi on Monday (July 11). Patricia Wong, also known as Patricia Hanoa, was arrested and charged on the strength of an indictment for second-degree murder in the death of Kaycee Smith in 2009. Her bail was set at $250,000.

Police identify 2003 murder victim found near Saddle Road

Hawaiʻi Island detectives have identified the body of a murder victim that was discovered off the Saddle Road in 2003. Bradley Elmer Bussewitz was identified using the most current biometric technology. The New Generation Identification system, developed by the FBI, was used to identify Bussewitz through his fingerprints.
