Girls recover from drugged brownies, boy responsible sent to Oahu detention facility

The Hawaiʻi Police Departments Area II Records and Firearms section located at the Kealakehe Police Station in Kona will be closed for business on Thursday, April 6, 2017, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Regular business hours will resume following these times.

Traffic signal installation at Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kealakehe intersection

MEDIA RELEASE A traffic signal to replace the four-way stop will be installed at the Ane Keohokālole Highway and Kealakehe intersection. Construction starts May 20 and is scheduled for completion Sept. 17. One-lane closures will remain in effect weekdays (excluding Memorial Day) between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

WHEA battles in Hawaii robotics finals; Kealakehe, Kohala headed for Missouri Championships

Kealakehe High School’s team competing in the 2012 FIRST in Hawaii Regional Robotics Competition in Honolulu. West Hawaii Explorations Academy made it to the finals partnered with McKinley and Punahou. Kealakehe and Kohala High Schools will be going to St. Louis, Missouri in April for the FIRST Championship.
