The heavy construction began Saturday at Higashihara Park’s Kamakana Children’s Playground. About 100 volunteers were expected to help out, which was a good thing as 60 ton of rock, 30 ton of sand, and 4 ton of cement was delivered. The community volunteer renovation project continues for six weeks.
