HVO downgrades Kilauea volcano alert from warning to watch level

The Kilauea June 27th Lava Flow field near Pahoa has been declared inactive, surface flows remain within four miles of Pu‘u ‘O‘o vent. HVO scientists say it would be at least months before lava could get to within a mile of homes or infrastructure.
