A large swell from Hurricane Norman will continue to rise, and peak Thursday, along east facing shores of Hawaii Island, Maui, Molokai, Oahu, and Kauai. All county beach parks on the north and east side will be closed Thursday.

Norman continues to move toward the west, and the forward motion has slowed to 12 knots. On Wednesday, Norman will begin a turn toward the northwest as it enters a break in the ridge.
