A 21-year old Kamuela woman died following a 2-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon (September 2), in Honomū.

Her name is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of her family.

Responding to a 1:57 p.m., call, police determined that a 2004 Honda sport-utility vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 19, near the Honomū Transfer Station Road and crossed a center line and collided with a 2005 Peterbilt tanker truck that was traveling southbound.

Hawaiʻi Island police have located a 22-year-old Honomū man who was wanted for escape.

Dillon Revilla (cq) was located in Honomū at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday. He was arrested on suspicion of escape and three firearms offenses and taken to the Hilo police cellblock while detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section continue the investigation.

HI-PAL Click It or Ticket basketball tournament results

Forty-five youth participated in eight games during the Hawaiʻi Police Activities League’s 2013 “Click It or Ticket” 5-on-5 basketball tournament held at the Honomū gymnasium on April 27 during Honomū Family Fun Day. The breakdown of the participants was 17 from the 9-10 age division and 28 from the 13-14 age division.

HI-PAL 5-on-5 basketball tournament registration opens

The Hawaiʻi Police Department is hosting a HI-PAL “Click It or Ticket” 5-on-5 basketball tournament during the Honomū Family Fun Day at the Honomū Gymnasium on April 27. This tournament is open to the first eight teams in the 9-10 age division only. This is for athletes born in years 2003 and 2004.
