The two exit lanes leading out of the parking lot will be closed overnight at about 10 p.m. and will reopen at 4 a.m., weather permitting.

County self-service kiosk to renew vehicle registrations opens at Hilo Safeway Thursday (Feb 14)

In the interest of reducing long lines, Hawai‘i County’s Vehicle Registration & Licensing Division offices will introduce a self-service kiosk at the Hilo Safeway store for customers to renew their Hawaii County vehicle registrations. The grand opening of the kiosk will take place on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 10 a.m.

Hilo attorneys honored for providing over 1,000 free legal consultations in 2018

Forty-one attorneys were recognized during the Hilo Self-Help Center Recognition Awards on January 28 for providing more than 1,000 free legal consultations to people who sought assistance in 2018. The recognition ceremony was part of the Hawaii County Bar Association’s annual meeting.
