The National Weather Service reports the High Surf Warning has been downgraded to a High Surf Advisory for the North facing shores of Kohala, Hamakua and Hilo through today. A High Surf Advisory means there is a threat to life and property from the surf.

This is a Flash Flood Warning update for Friday morning, December 1 at 10. The National Weather Service has been cancelled the Flash Flood Warning for the island of Hawaii. The Warning has been downgraded to a Flash Flood Watch. Flash Flood Watch means flooding is still possible, so stay on the alert.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf advisory for north east facing shores of Hawaii Island until 6 p.m. tonight (Nov 10).

Surf is forecast to be peaking at 12-16 feet along north facing shores this evening and 8-12 feet along east facing shores this afternoon.

Surf is forecast to be in the 6-10 foot range this afternoon rising to 10-14 feet late tonight through Friday.

Winter Storm Warning for summits and other advisories for Hawaii Island

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Hawaii Island summits through 6 a.m. Monday (Dec 5) for summits above 11,000 feet. Heavy snow, blowing and drifting snow, strong winds and low visibilities will exist on summits. An additional 6-12 inches of snow is forecast for today and tonight.
