The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Districts of North and South Kohala on Hawaii Island. This Wind Advisory means sustained winds of 20-35 mph with gusts over 50 mph are forecasted.

The National Weather Service has canceled the High Surf Advisory for North facing shores of Hawaii Island. The High Surf Advisory for East facing shores remains in place through 6 p.m. today. A High Surf Advisory means there is a threat to life and property form the surf.

The State’s monthly test of the Statewide Outdoor Warning Siren System, which would typically occur on MONDAY, December 3, 2018, at 11:45 a.m. has been suspended for the month of December ONLY. No test will take place at that time, and the statewide test has not been rescheduled for a different time.

The Department of Water Supply reports that repairs are complete for the water line break in Waiakea and the system is refilling. Customers may notice air in the system and milky appearance that will clear as the system returns to normal. The water is safe and crews will continue to monitor the system.
