Search for missing fisherman continues in Puna

Rescue crews searched the shoreline fronting Malama Flats near MacKenzie State Park for a missing 56-year-old fisherman who was last seen 9 p.m. Friday (June 6) in the area. Witnesses said the man was swept out to sea after either slipping or being washed off a 10-foot cliff by a wave.

Search for missing diver off Honaunau resumes without success Friday (Feb 1)

The search continued Friday (Feb 1) for a missing diver off the coast of Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. The missing diver was last seen on Wednesday (Jan 30) at the park at about 4 p.m. The man’s keys, wallet and cellphone were found in his truck at the park.
