On Tuesday, January 24th 2012 NFL Football Players and NFL Cheerleaders will be holding Youth Clinics for Hawai`i Island intermediate and high school students at Kealakehe High School from 3:00–5:30 PM and Wednesday, January 25th 2012, at Keaau High School from 3:00–5:30 PM.  Players and cheerleaders will also visit a local school for an assembly before the clinics.

University of Hawaii at Hilo Director of Athletic Dexter Irvin announced Saturday (April 16) the 2-year suspension of three programs as part of an effort to reduce its budget while maintaining the viability of the department.

UH-Hilo athletics to suspend three programs due to budget crunch

University of Hawaii at Hilo Director of Athletic Dexter Irvin announced Saturday (April 16) the 2-year suspension of three programs as part of an effort to reduce its budget while maintaining the viability of the department. On the table are men’s and women’s cross country and cheerleading.
