The Hawai'i Police Department's Community Policing Section coordinated a beach cleanup on Saturday (January 29) along Bayfront Highway in Hilo.

Equipped with rubber gloves and rubbish bags, community members, neighborhood watch members from nine different communities and community policing officers participated in "CAN IT." During the event, Hawai'i County Civil Defense officials briefed the participants about the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
