The University of Hawaii at Hilo softball program will host clinics on Saturday, April 10 at the Waimea Park and on Sunday, April 11 on the UHH softball field.

Slated for players 6-14 years of age, both clinics begin at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Water and lunch will be provided for all participants.

The Vulcans are 27-12 while the Cossacks are 25-8.

Having Kanani Numata at bat in the sixth inning proved key to the University of Hawaii at Hilo softball team in opening the Mizuno/Tournament of Champions with wins over NCAA Division II West Region teams in Turlock, Calif.

In a 2-1 victory over Humboldt State University, Numata’s sixth-inning single tied the game. She then delivered a sixth-inning two-run double to give the Vulcans a 2-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The Vulcans improved to 25-10.
