High surf and small craft advisories extended for Hawaii

By Hawaii 24/7 Staff

The high surf advisory for South facing shores of all Hawaiian islands has been extended until noon Friday (July 6).

Surf is forecast to be in the five to eight foot range. Ocean and beachgoers should use caution due to dangerous rip currents and localized beach erosion.

A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. for Kauai’s Northwest waters, Kauai Channel, Maalaea Bay, Kaiwi, Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, Big Island Leeward and Southeast waters.
