Hawaii Island lane closures for the week of May 11-17, 2019

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. 
All projects are weather permitting. 

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11/190) —

1) KA‘U

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 56 and 57 in the vicinity of Punaluu Black Sand Beach on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for bridge reconstruction work.Traffic will be detoured through temporary bypass bridges for the duration of remaining construction operations.

2)KA‘U

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 54 and 55 in Pahala on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for landscaping work.

3) NORTH KONA

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) in both directions between mile markers 29 and 31 on Monday,May 13, through Friday, May 17,from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.  

4)  PUNA

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 17 and 19 on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for landscaping and shoulder work.

5) SOUTH KONA

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 108 and 109 on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HAMAKUA

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 47 and 52 on Monday May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.

2) NORTH HILO

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 26 and 28 on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.

3) SOUTH HILO

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of mile markers 3 and 4 on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) NORTH KOHALA

Alternating lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) in both directions between Mile Markers 27 and 29 on Monday,May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for tree trimming work.

2) SOUTH KOHALA

Alternating lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) in both directions between mile markers 6 and 10 on Monday, May 13,through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for landscaping work.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE/VOLCANO ROAD (ROUTE 11) —

1) SOUTH HILO

Alternating lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 0 and 3 on Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.

— HAWI ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) NORTH KOHALA

Alternating lane closure on Hawi Road (Route 250) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Markers 19.9 to 21.3 on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to 6/ p.m., for roadway paving.

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) PUNA

Alternating lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) in both directions between Mile Marker 4.2 and 5.3, on Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., for shoulder paving work.
