An earthquake which occurred at approximately 11:38 a.m. HST Monday (April 24) off the coast of Central Chile but it was not large enough to cause a tsunami for the state of Hawai’i. Preliminary data indicates that the earthquake measured 6.7 magnitude.

Average gas prices in Hawaii rise 2.7 cents per gallon the past week

Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have risen 2.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.09/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has increased 1 cent per gallon in the last week to $2.42/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
