The County Highway Maintenance Division announces the closure of LaupÄhoehoe Point Road between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016, weather conditions permitting.
This closure is necessary to complete road maintenance work, including the removal of hazardous rocks from the embankment in a timely manner; and for the safety of the workers and the traveling public. Only local traffic will be allowed access.
Special off-duty police officers will be posted in the work area to facilitate traffic moment.
The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.
