Fire destroys home and car in Hawaiian Paradise Park Tuesday (June 28)

Fire/rescue crews responded to an 11:47 a.m. alarm Tuesday (June 28) to 15-1726 32nd Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park for a structure fire.

Crews arrived to find a single story home about 40 feet by 50 foot with fire coming out on the garage side of the residence. Heavy black and gray smoke was coming out of the living room and bedroom areas.

Crews were able to have the fire under control at 12:10 p.m. and it was declared out at 12:20 p.m.

The home and a Toyota car in the garage were reported to be destroyed at a total loss of $210,00. A resident on scene was attended to by the Hawaii Red Cross to assist with food, shelter and clothing if needed. There were no injuries reported in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is undetermined according to fire dispatch.
