Police have located a 66-year-old woman wanted in theft & sex assault case

Hawaiʻi Island police have located a 66-year-old woman who was wanted for questioning.

Terry Chesnut was located Tuesday (July 5) in Kailua-Kona.

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 66-year-old woman wanted for questioning in theft and sexual assault investigations.

Terry Chesnut is described as 5-foot-3, 105 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair. Her last known address was in Pāhala.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Sharlotte Bird at 326-4646, extension 278, or sharlotte.bird@hawaiicounty.gov.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
