Police are searching for a man wanted on a bench warrant

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 34-year-old man who is wanted on a bench warrant.

Joshua Figueroa is wanted for violating terms of a deferred plea in an assault and unlawful imprisonment case. He is also wanted for questioning in connection with another incident.

He is described as 6-feet tall, 210 pounds with brown eyes and dark brown hair. His last known address was in Hilo.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Robert Almeida at 961-2386 or robert.almeida@hawaiicounty.gov.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
