Tropical Storm Oho moving slow, no watches or warnings issued

As of 11 p.m. Monday (Oct 5), Tropical Storm Oho was located about 350 miles (565 km) south southeast of Hilo, Hawaii and moving towards the east northeast at 7 miles per hour (11 km/hr).

Presently Oho has maximum sustained winds of about 70 miles per hour (110 km/hr) with higher gusts. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center. The latest forecast indicates although Oho is moving slowly toward the northeast it’s forward speed will increase Tuesday. Some strengthening is expected through Wednesday afternoon.

Currently no watches or warnings have been issued for Oho.
