Power outage affects about 2,720 customers in the Waikoloa area Tuesday (Sept 29)

Hawaii Electric Light Company reports a power outage at about 8:30 p.m. to approximately 2,720 customers in the Waikoloa, Waikoloa Village and Keamuku areas of Hawaii Island.

HELCO has dispatched crews to the area to investigate. There is no timetable for power restoration at this time. Motorists should treat any intersection without properly functioning traffic signals as a four-way-stop.

UPDATED (10:04 p.m. on 9/29/2015)

HELCO reports that as of 10 p.m. Tuesday power has been restored to all customers. If you continue to have power problems contact HELCO at (808) 969-6666.
