An unforgettable week of famous deep-sea fishing in Kona awaits anglers from around the world as teams gather for the 56th running of the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, 2015.
This summer, anglers, aboard some of sportfishing’s finest fleet of vessels, will fish for prized Pacific blue marlin and a chance of capturing the HIBT’s prestigious Governor’s Trophy.
Kailua Pier is a great place to watch the iconic Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament start each morning at 7:30 a.m. as boats line up across Historic Kailua Bay. Spectators can expect to see lots of scoreboard action as teams weigh in their big fish at the end of fishing each day at 4:30 p.m.
