The Wednesday morning (Feb 25) overflight has revealed that the lava flow front remains stalled. The breakout along the north margin has widened but is not advancing. Smoke conditions were light with a light north wind blowing the smoke in a southeast direction.

Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy between Kawaihae Harbor and PÅhakuloa Training Area, Feb. 23-28, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Convoys will travel from PTA to Kawaihae, Feb. 23-24. Convoys will also travel from Kawaihae to PTA, Feb. 24-28. Military police will escort the convoys.

Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have risen 2.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.04/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has increased 4.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.29/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
