Lions Club of Kona offers free health screenings

MEDIA RELEASE

The Lions Club of Kona is sponsoring FREE medical screenings on Saturday, November 22 from 8 am to 12 noon in the Konawaena Elementary School cafeteria for anyone residing in West Hawaii.

The Lions Club of Kona and audiologist Dr. Kayla Smith will provide hearing screenings for both adults and children.

Project Vision Hawaii and ophthalmologist Dr. Susan Senft will provide vision screenings for both adults and children.

Free services provided by the West Hawaii Community Health Center include children’s dental screening, blood sugar and blood pressure readings.

Health service and insurance counseling will be available. Translators will also be available.

The Lions Club of Kona has ~75 members and meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:30 pm at Teshimas Restaurant. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
