Hawaii Electric Light reports that its power poles along Apa‘a Street currently remain in place as the lava flow crossed the road early Saturday morning (Oct 25).

The June 27th flow remains active on Friday, October 24, 2014, and has advanced at an increased rate over the past two days. This afternoon (2 pm), the flow front was pushing ahead as a narrow lobe, and was just 135 m (150 yards) from Cemetery Rd./Apaʻa St. The vent for the June 27th flow is on Puʻu ʻŌʻō (top of photograph), which is nearly 19 km (12 miles) away. Police warrants list for Friday, October 24, 2014

The listed individuals are wanted by the Hawaii Police Department because of outstanding warrants. Persons who know a warrant is out for their arrest are advised to report to the nearest police station to avoid having an officer go to their home or workplace to arrest them.

LavaTalk: October 22, 2014 update on Kilauea’s lava flow

This morning’s lava flow assessment shows the narrow finger of lava coming off the main flow has become the leading edge and advanced 100 yards since yesterday, this is 30-50 yards ahead of the original flow front. The flow still remains about 0.6 miles from the Apaa Street area.
