Abercrombie campaign raises $4.32 million

Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s 2014 campaign is receiving substantial support, raising $4,320,000 to date, according to the latest report filed with the Campaign Spending Commission.

“Under Gov. Abercrombie’s leadership, Hawaii’s economy is growing again, state finances are healthy, student test scores are improving, and precious lands have been saved for future generations,” said Bill Kaneko, campaign manager for Abercrombie for Governor.

“Hawaii is clearly better today and our future will be even brighter with Gov. Abercrombie,” Kaneko said.

During the six ­month reporting period Jan. 1 to June 30, 2014, the campaign raised $883,000.

After expenses, the Abercrombie for Governor Campaign reported $1,042,000 cash on hand.
