Average gas prices in Hawaii fall 2.3 cents per gallon the past month

Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have fallen 2.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $4.33/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has increased 2.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.68/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

No destructive widespread tsunami threat exists based on historical earthquake and tsunami data. However – earthquakes of this size sometimes generate local tsunamis that can be destructive along coasts located within a hundred kilometers of the earthquake epicenter. Authorities in the region of the epicenter should be aware of this possibility and take appropriate action.
