Crews working along Palani Road in Kona

The department of Public Works, Highway Maintenance division resumed trimming tree branches along Palani Road, this morning (June 30). The crew is working above Lili‘uokalani Gardens subdivision. They will end at Palani Junction. The crew will remain on Palani Road, but shift to work on the road shoulders that are makai of Konalani Street.
Alternate lane closures at the work site are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding the holiday, Friday, July 4. Roadwork is weather permitting.

Tree trimming stopped last week to allow Hawaiian Telcom to place fiber optic cables between Henry Street and Kealakehe. Hawaiian Telcom remains on Palani Rd, but is working on the road shoulders.
