The 2012-13 Hawaii State Girls Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year led Hilo High School to Top-4 finishes in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 Hawaii High School Athletic Association Girls Basketball Championships. Both seasons she was named to the Star Advertiser’s Girls Basketball State Fab 15.

A 2-time first-team all-Big Island Interscholastic Federation selection, Pana averaged 13 points, 7 rebounds and three assists per game in her senior campaign.

The 2014 Hilo High graduate is a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.7 grade-point average.

“We are very excited to welcome Aliyah to our program,” Kaneshiro said. “In her four years at Hilo High School she accomplished a great deal on the court, in the classroom, and contributed a lot to her community.

“She is a hard-working, versatile player with a good basketball IQ. She is also a very good student and humble, generous person. We look forward to working with her over the next 4 years.”
