DeMare Enterprises Inc., a Hawaii corporation, was granted a permanent Brewers Operating Permit by the Liquor Commission, County of Hawaii effective Thursday, May 1, 2014. DeMare Enterprises completed the purchase of the Hawaii Nui and Mehana Brewery located in Hilo, Hawaii on November 1, 2013. Paul DeMare, MD, Owner and President of DeMare Enterprises is the Chief Operating Officer of the Hawaii Nui and Mehana Brewery.

In addition to our entire line of draught beers as of April 2014 all of the Hawaii Nui and Mehana Brands will be packaged in aluminum cans that are manufactured by Ball Corporation in Kapolei, Hawaii. Our high quality premium craft beer is brewed exclusively in Hilo. Hawaii Nui and Mehana Brands belong to the Big Island. Hilo is our hometown.

Distribution of Hawaii Nui and Mehana Brands remains in the very capable hands of Johnson Brothers of Hawaii. They will be representing our Brands on all islands for both on premise and off premise accounts. The Hawaii Nui and Mehana Brands are currently available in 31 restaurants and 86 retail outlets throughout Hawaii and expect that number to double by the end of the year.

We are very appreciative of the Hawaii County Liquor Commission’s approval. We will continue our passion and commitment to brew fine craft beers exclusively on the Big Island. Currently our newly canned Mauna Kea Pale Ale and Volcano Red Ale brands are available throughout Hawaii. We are committed to placing all of Hawaii Nui and Mehana brands back on the market by the end of the year.
