Alii Drive roadway painting starting today (March 20)

To increase visibility for the pedestrians and bicyclists on Ali‘i Drive, in Kona, the Department of Public Works, Traffic Division is increasing the size of the shoulder marking on both sides of Ali‘i Drive from four (4) inches to eight (8) inches. The striping starts today (March 20) from the Keauhou Shopping Center entrance on Ali‘i Drive. The crew will work in the northern direction.

Striping the shoulders will be done in four to five blocks at a time. Work will be done on weekdays, excluding holidays; between the hours are 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The project is scheduled for completion on March 28 and may be extended.
