Kona burglaries, thefts (Nov. 19-25)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers Nov. 19-25.

BURGLARIES

On Nov. 16, a reported burglary in the 2100 block of Kaloko Drive. Unknown responsible(s) entered and ransacked a residence, it is unknown at this time if items are missing.

On Nov. 17, a reported burglary at The Empowerment Partnership Business. Computers, tool and other miscellaneous items taken.

On Nov. 19, a reported burglary at the Kona Beach Steakhouse. Two cash registers containing U.S. currency taken.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

On Nov. 19, a reported UCPV in the 1000 block of Henry Street. Victim reported leaving his key in the ignition of his moped and when he returned after work the moped was gone. Moped is a black 2013 with moped license number H34700 and VIN LC2U9A041DC100447.

On Nov. 21, a reported UCPV at the Kuakini Self Storage. Victim reported rental car bearing Hawaii license plate ZAF688 taken. Vehicle was later found by police in the parking lot of Safeway on Henry Street.

THEFT

On Nov. 19, a reported theft in the 1000 block of Kalamalani Place. Diamond bracelet taken.

On Nov. 19, a reported theft at Denny’s on Henry Street. Male and female ordered food and left without paying for it.

On Nov. 19, a reported theft at Honokohau Harbor. Black leather wallet containing U.S. currency taken.

On Nov. 19, a reported theft in the 6200 block of Alii Drive. Computer taken.

On Nov. 19, a reported theft at the Kailua Pier. Purse with contents taken.

On Nov. 19, a reported theft in the 5800 block of Old Government Road. Avocados taken from a tree without permission.
