Kona forum on Affordable Care Act implementation (Oct. 15)

If you want to learn how the Affordable Care Act, often referred to as ObamaCare, is being implemented in Hawaii, the Community Forum being presented by Community Enterprises 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Makaeo Pavilion at Old Kona Airport Park is the place to go for answers.

This is the second forum in a two-part series on Health Care and the Oct. 15 forum will focus on the Implementation of the Affordable Care Act and will provide information specifically about the Hawaii Health Connector, Hawaii’s Marketplace Exchange.

The two main presenters will be Tom Matsuda, Implementation Manager of the Affordable Care Act in Hawaii, and Coral Andrews, Executive Director of the Hawaii Health Connector, an on-line health insurance marketplace.

Following the two presentations will be a panel discussion featuring Tom Matsuda, Coral Andrews, Joan Danielly of Kaiser Permanente, Senator Josh Green M.D., and Peter Amelotte of Aloha Insurance Services.

The panelists will answer written questions from the audience. The moderator for the evening’s program will be Sherry Bracken.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and several resource people will be available at that time to answer questions about how to use the Hawaii Health Connector Marketplace.

Pupus and beverages will be served.
