Kona burglaries, thefts (Sept. 13-20)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers Sept. 13-20.

BURGLARIES

On Sept. 15, a reported burglary in the 200 block of Pumehana Street. Victim assaulted and threatened. Nothing removed. Suspect arrested.

On Sept.16, a reported burglary in the 6500 block of Hawaii Belt Road. One-man canoe taken.

On Sept. 18, a reported burglary in the 5600 block of Kuakini Highway. Victim assaulted, U.S. currency taken. Suspect arrested.

On Sept. 19, a reported burglary in the 100 block of Koakoa Street. A moped was taken. No info on the moped.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

On Sept. 13, a reported UCPV in the 200 block of Hoowaiwai Court. A silver 2008 Honda Moped with bicycle/moped Lic# H27164 was taken. The moped has been recovered.

On Sept. 16, a reported UCPV in the 5600 block of Princess Keelikolani Street. A white 2010 Sym DD Moped with unknown Lic# was taken.

UEMV (THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On Sept. 15, a reported UEMV in the 200 block of Pumehana Street. A speaker box was taken.
