Celebrate National Health Center Week; donate a toothbrush

MEDIA RELEASE

West Hawaii Community Heath Center joins 2013 National Health Center Week celebrated across the country Aug. 12-17.

In celebration, WHCHC has partnered with Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union to promote good dental health by conducting a toothbrush drive during the National Health Center week for keiki and adults in need.

Founded on the principle of “people helping people,” each branch of the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union will be a drop off location for new, unopened keiki and adult toothbrushes as well as all three West Hawaii Community Health Center locations in Waikoloa Village, Kailua and Kealakekua.

“The Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union and their dedicated employees have been great supporters of our health center over the years. We are excited to share this National Health Center week initiative with them,” said WHCHC Executive Director Richard Taaffe.

“West Hawaii Community Health Center is thankful for their generous support,” Taaffe said. “We ask our Hawaii Island community to make a difference and donate toothbrushes so we can fulfill our goal of providing a toothbrush for children and adults in need.”
