Hurricane Henriette forecast to weaken over the next 48 hours

At 8 p.m. Wednesday (Aug 7) Hurricane Henriette was located about 1,235 miles East of Hilo travelling West-Northwest at 10 mph and is forecast to weaken.

The system is forecast to turn West on Thursday and head West-Southwest on Friday. Currently maximum sustained winds are near 85 mph with higher gusts but is forecat to weaken during the next 48 hours as it moves over cooler waters.

There are currently no watches or warnings in effect due to Henriette.
