The biggest, brightest Moon of the year was in the night sky Sunday (June 23) as the Moon was closer to the Earth than any other time during the year. But being close is relative as it will be 221,824 miles away.
The Moon will be in the sky 14% larger and 30% brighter than a typical Full Moon during the year.
