Fire/rescue crews responded to a 6:54 p.m. alarm Saturday (June 22) to 65-1247 Laelae Way for a structure fire in Waimea.

Crews arriving on scene found a two-story home with heavy smoke pouring from the windows. Police officers were already on scene and had put out the fire with extinguishers.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
